Okay so the band isn’t new to me [as was the case with the versaemergepost]but they are worthy of a post or… twenty ;) hehe

For those of you who were Busted fans you may want to stop reading [I most certainly was NOT a fan – in fact was mostly annoyed by them]. Former Busted member, Charlie Simpson, makes up for his past with Fightstar. My, oh my, how the times have changed. How on earth did he survive as long as he did in Busted, when he could have been making music in the awesomeness of form of FIGHTSTAR [I am pretty sure that sentence needs a lot of work lol]?

Muchos Kudos to Charlie Simpson for making great great great great music post Busted! I will admit I took a while to check Fightstar out because of his Busted history. I kept brushing them off, because I knew who Charlie Simpson was, because I knew about Busted. But I was so wrong to judge. Fightstar rocks!!

Far heavier than Busted, far more meaningful the lyrics… You can hear that they put their heart and soul into their music. They have huge contrasts within their songs, and so many layers to keep you on a high.

Take, for example, Deathcar; opens with screams, then suddenly, into beautiful melodies and builds up to the chorus [Gives me goose bumps just typing!]. Floods is the song that got me hooked I’ll admit. Had a sort of Muse feel but then not quite Muse… and I found myself intrigued, hungry for more. And I found more to love… A lot more and now I am in need of my next fix [due April 20^th].
